Go green with this matcha mixed drink
Coconut Kyoto
This creamy, vegan cocktail is named for matcha’s global production hub in Kyoto, Japan.
Ingredients
2 oz Shine Vodka
1 oz coconut milk
1 tsp matcha powder (set aside extra for garnish)
1 oz vanilla simple syrup:
½ cup water
½ cup sugar (for deeper flavor, try brown sugar)
1 bar spoon vanilla extract
Steps
Whisk matcha powder with 1 oz warm water until smooth.
Add the matcha mixture, Shine Vodka, vanilla simple syrup, and coconut milk into a shaker filled with ice.
Shake vigorously until chilled and frothy.
Strain into a chilled glass and dust lightly with matcha powder.
VANILLA SIMPLE SYRUP RECIPE
In a saucepan over medium heat, stir equal amounts of sugar and water until the sugar dissolves.
Add vanilla extract.
Let the syrup cool, use as needed, then refrigerate any leftover.
